Both of Bradricks gym founders started boxing at Dargies boxing club in North Beach, Western Australia.
Richard Davis started in 1980 as a 17 year old and Brad Hardingham in 1983 as a 16 year old. Richard Davis competed throughout 1981 to 1983 Richard started kick boxing in 1984 and was undefeated in a small amount of bouts.
In 1988 Richard and Brad started a boxing club at the University of West Australia and after 6 months kick boxing was introduced. In 1989 after Richard spent 3 months training at muay Thai training camp in Thailand, the club was moved to Scarborough and West Coast Thai boxing was founded. During the early 1990s it was hard to get regular bouts in Thai boxing, so Brad and Richard turned to the Western Austalian amateur boxing association to get extra bouts for their kick boxers.
West coast Boxing club was started in 1992 and registered with Boxing WA inc . West Coast boxers were very successfull in boxing and continued to box and kick box at various tournaments throughout the mid 90s. In 1996 the kick boxing was dropped and West Coast only competed in boxing only, West Coast boxing club produced many champions including Aust institute of sport  schololarship holder and international boxer Peter Meakes.
In the mid 90s Brad formed his own club, was trained as a personal trainer and founded Sunset personal training centre, where he trained boxers and kick boxers and was personal trainer to many other athletes.
Brad trained successful boxers including current national champion 64kg Angus Hann.
Brad and Richard continued coaching at their individual clubs up untill 2002 when Richard became the secretary of the West Aust Amateur boxing association and had to have a break from coaching to keep up with the demands of the association.
After 2 years at the job and missing the coaching side of boxing, Richard and Brad again decided to combine their skills as coaches and form a new club which is Bradrick Boxing Centre.
In the last 15 years Richard and Brad have coached and entered boxer and kick boxers in over 350 bouts winning 75% of the bouts.
Started in 2004, Bradricks is setting the standard in Olympic style boxing with the highest percentage win ratio in Western Australia of any club.
